A Working Class Hero

As you think about the white collar giants of the world, pretentiously seated behind their elegant marble desks, upon a throne of money, its hard to feel like you'll ever really make a difference. In the words of John Lennon, "As soon as you're born they make you feel small, By giving you no time instead of it all." This can be true. I have definitely felt the cruel force of the working world, and, through much fault of my own, have had an extremely difficult time holding down the many jobs placed before me.

But, I feel as though a breakthrough might be on the horizon.

Currently, I have lasted at the job I am now working for significantly longer than many of my previous attempts. Not only that, but my employment history is slowly starting to look better than the one of my tainted past. That may not sound like much, but, in all honesty, it means a lot. Breaking through this barrier has proven to be possible in itself. And while my resume may now be a short novel, the future does not look quite as interrupted. Time will only tell...

The Quote Un-Quote Beginning

I am a dreamer
I have lied
I am not a poet
I laugh
I am asleep at the wheel
I am your best friend
I am a lover
I am a fighter
I am silencedI think
I feel
I absorb
I will not give up
I am poor
I am your neighbor
I am a criminal
I am not tough-minded
I am a self-proclaimed artist
I am loyal
I am gentle
I am lost
I learn
I live
I care
